Hey everyone,

Here are my four pick ups from the past week. I had some extra cash to play with from the last pay cheque after paying bills so I did some shopping. These are all sellers photos and are on their way to me.

This one is actually another from Masis. I seem to be buying a fair amount of his coins!

Hadrian Tetradrachm, Alexandria Mint, Year 10
Obverse: AVT KAI-TPAI AÎ"PIA CEB, Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust facing to the right, seen from behind.
Reverse: L Î"E-KATΩV, Tyche, standing to the left,
holding a rudder with her right hand and a Cornucopia with her left.
Milne 1139

This next one I managed to pick up for $12 which I am really proud of even though it is a fairly common Antoninus Pius denarius

I think this one is
Antoninus Pius AR Denarius
Obverse: ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P TR P COS III laurete head right / IMPERATOR II Victor standing front, head left, holding wreath and palm

I haven't ID'd this next coin yet but it is another Antoninus Pius this time an AE As.

Finally this last coin was an oops. I didn't mean to buy this one. Since the auction ended while I was running errands I was watching it on my phone and mixed this Trajan with the one I actually wanted. I don't really like the look of it and will upgrade it probably fairly quickly. I feel bad saying this about something with so much history and all in all it was only $12

I also haven't ID'd this one yet but it is a Trajan Sestertius

I also found out I had a little bit of money left over on a Mastercard giftcard I got for christmas so I order a few uncleaned coins.

That was my week! It was fairly busy. I think next up is going to be a fairly substantial purchase (one expensive coin) from a reputable dealer. I got a decent tax return and may have to indulge the craving.

Wow! Nice pick ups. I'm loving Alexandrian Tets and that Hadrian is a great one.

I am not exactly sure. I was looking on forvm and apparently it is not fun to clean and the guy used phosphoric acid. I don't mind it too much and I really like the bust of Hadrian on it.

It is red Oxide, often seen on Alexandrian Billon Tetradrachms. Not corrosive as Bronze Disease, but not pretty to look at either.

Below is another of my Alexandrian Tetradrachms, of Nero.
Note the deposits of red Oxide on both surfaces.

Thanks Masis! I don't actually mind it at all. It is a nice pop of colour on the coin.

On that Nero it looks like he just had a really bad day shaving.

Highly appropriate for Nero, no matter if what we read about him is exaggerated, he certainly had blood on his hands, even at the end, well, it was his own!
