A proof like coin not handled properly (stored in a bag but handled with gloves, probably.) Unless it's a key date, I suppose you should return the coin. Proof like coins don't often increase in value unless the inflation causes it to do so.
Thanks, it was a 1953 half LD - thinking of sending it back if it is in no mans land. I take it the PL63 coins ran out of steam after falling off the MS gravy train :{
