Hello, I'm new here. I was wondering if these coins have any collector value, the numi-shop in town says not and I can't find any info anywhere!

2007 Pd maples (not graded, but in original unopened plastic

2007 ms69 "first strike" .99999 Gml's
and 2008 .99999 GMLs non-graded but in the neat card-package.

They aren't fakes; a good relationship with a LCS owner (been in business since 1979), able to get them cheaper (by 20$) than 2013 Buffalos. I sold one to a numismatic (serious guys) store and got the same amount of currency as I would of for a 2013 1 oz NTR Au bar. The same shop said the 2007 pd maples were worth the same as any 1 oz pd coin/bar (they said same as a 2012 pamp bar).

I know the mintages are low for these coins- being a new-bee, I'm wondering if I'm getting kinda ripped off, or if these coins have very little/no numi-value.

Before I had any .99999's I was curious, asked one of the staff if they'd ever seen one (I hadn't at the fime), the answer was "once".

I also sold an ms70 buffalo (2009) at the same shop, the price was 25$ more than a non-graded bu new-date one.

I'm new to gold, know much more about modern silver coins.

Any advice or information? (Trying to understand if its worth (it) having some coins sent off to be graded (makes little sense, loosing $ for grading if the coin has no potential/or these modern coins are no big deal).

(Confusing, as I've seen silver ones from 1-2 years ago with large numbers go way up eg; 1 oz dragon/Canadian bear and wolf)

Any book recommendations would be great!

Thanks

Generally speaking, the .99999 GMLs have a premium above those of the normal GMLs. The older they are, the higher the potential. The 2007 and 2008s aren't anything special so a slight premium is there when purchasing from LCS.

the ones to really watch out for are the 2005/2007 experimental 99999 GMLs... Those are 2-3x above spot.

you wait long enough you can fetch more than spot for 2007 and 2008 5x9s GML. I've seen either year sell above $2000 when spot is at $1600. And 2007 is the oldest 5x9s GML, excluding the test mark ones, which date back to 2005 (and 2004)

Pd maples are not worth more than spot for Pd, unless you have a test marked Pd maple (test mark A or B)
