Okay, cleaned a whole bunch now. Ren Waxed those that I felt needed it (uuuuuhh, most).
Heres the worst, a sestertius, I think its Antoninius Pius - all the green is, without fail, BD. Yes. That big green spot is all BD. I tried to remove it but it just keeps going down! This guy is going to be given away to the next person I trade with who will house it. Failing that, melting pot. I cant stand to see coins in this state of degradation!

Heres a small selection of some:

Couldnt get nice pictures out of this one - had nice glossy patina but weak and fragile so I renwaxed it and now its almost too shiny! Teensy, Constantinople commemorative. Its got style Id associate with london mint but its probably Lyons or Trier or something (perhaps Arles?).

Beautifully preserved obverse - its a Chi Rho on banner GLORIA EXERCITVS. I havent pinned down emperor yet.

Now, this I like. Historical. Tiny, tiny, tiny. Worn smooth, cut down to size such that only the soldier remains of the FEL TEMP design. Depatinated by acidic soil - perhaps modern pesticide.

This is a nice babraric issue - its almost like a Bactrian coin in design type. Pity the obverse is so weak.

This was a really nice fel temp but the patina fel apart when I cleaned it so its a bit mushy now.

Die clash? Or a necklace? You decide.

Beautifully preserved (see the eyebrows dotted) but chipped - patina is weaker round the chip, so I think it happened recently, within 300 years, but longer ago than 1900.

Thats all folks. More cleaned but its long enough as is and the rest gets even worse condition - lots of barbaric coins in this batch!
Havent finished cleaning the silver - its an Antoninius Pius CONSECRATIO issue. Its got some clay like stuff on it so I'm taking it slow - I fear I've already scratched it enough.
ALSO (one last thing) some of these coins are available - the Chi Rho/Standard ones both are. If anyone is interested they are going cheap.
