I'm looking at possibly purchasing Pro-Coin 2013. Does anybody have any complaints about the program? Any suggestions on alternatives that might be better? Any programs that are compatible with Mac or that are web-based?

I'll be using it to track an assortment of raw and PCGS US coins only.

I use CoinPlus 2012 and really like it and the features it offers. Check it out, you may like it better.

My program Numismetrica is web based for desktop computers alongside iPhones and Android devices.

I need to take the time and update the database for 2012 and 2013 coins, though, but everything else is pretty much there. The free tier is large enough for most people's collections.

Allong the same line of discussion, I too am looking for software that would allow me to catalogue my coins and detailed information, purchase and sell price with reports etc.
I tried procoin and found that it seems to fulfill my needs except that the Canadian coins kinda die at 2006. I wonder if it's dur to the fact that I am using a ttrial version. I absolutely need ALL Canadian coins and would like US. Can anyone tell me how current the procoin database is for Canadian updates please.
Also, Any other suggestions...
I am not realy one to cut out usefull tools to shave $20.00 off of a toll that I want to buy. In other words price ice not that important (200.00 or less if it meets my needs. But I realy l;ike the idea of buying software and updates included. I would prefer if updates were included with paying a yearly fee.
Sorry, I have a tendency to be long-winded.
Thanks in advance,
Dave

I used Coin Elite from Trove Software for several years. Very comprehensive software. My interest waned a bit, and I stopped buying the annual updates. Include it in your shopping comparisons: http://www.trovesoftware.com/

Update: I ended up going with procoin. My collection is small so far, and it seems to be doing the job. No complaints.

I use Exact Change. They have a good comparison table of the various coin collecting software on their website that may be of interest:

I've been using "Liberty Street's Coin Manage" for about 8 years. The initial cost is about $60, but then only about 1/2 that for annual updates - Each update includes all previous years, so I usually only update about every 2 years or so.

http://www.libertystreet.com/shots21.htm

Their screen shot is a little dated - Gold at $605/oz and silver $12/oz... Which... is about when I started using their software!''
