I really want to attend this one. There is going to be a conflict that weekend, but I am hoping that event is canceled. This show would be an easy day trip for me.

It's on the SPMC events calendar. If anybody has an event they want listed on there let me know or you can always join The Society of Paper Money Collectors and submit listings on your own.

@jbuck: Hope to see you there! Yes, the SPMC will be holding a General Meeting at the RCC Show. A program is scheduled for the meeting: Scrip - North Carolina's Paper Money Not Issued by Banks. We have a nice selection of educational talks scheduled for Friday and Saturday, with Saturday having a "Gold in the Carolinas" theme. See the RCC web site for more details. @plonker: Please visit our web site and check out our list of dealers who will be attending the show. We've added a good number of new dealers to this year's roster!

Commems, I can't find the list of dealers you mentioned. Where do I look?
Nevermind, I found it!

Less than a week to go and things are shaping up nicely for the RCC show! Here's a special offer for CCF members. Print out the "postcard" below, write your name and address on the printout and bring it with you when you come to the show. You'll enjoy express, "no wait" registration and we'll enter you in a special drawing for a one ounce American Silver Eagle coin!

Not only is my previously scheduled event still on for this weekend, but I also got roped into another favour. I will not be making this show, but I do want to read some feedback. Maybe next year.

I feel you Jbuck. We have been waiting on parts to build a G280 wing to come from France for 2 weeks. They showed up Thursday so I was at work all weekend. Gonna schedule a vacation day next year so I can make it to the 41st one.

Tim/jbuck â€" I'm sorry that you weren't able to make it to the show. By just about all measures, the show was a great success! 88 dealers took one or more tables at the show â€" most ever at a Raleigh CC show! We also had record attendance, eclipsing the 1,600 level. I was personally gratified to see a strong response to our educational offerings. Our exhibit area was well-visited throughout the weekend, with more folks voting for their favorite exhibit than in any of our previous shows. We also had a great turnout for each of the seven educational seminars we offered on Friday and Saturday. Attendance for our Saturday "Gold in the Carolinas" series of talks was particularly well-attended. Bobby was kind enough to send me a generous supply of coins for our "Kids Zone" (Thanks again Bobby!) and I'm happy to report that a steady stream of young collectors on all three days of the show walked away happy with new additions to their collection. Several parents even took the time to provide us with a written note describing how much their kids enjoyed the activities. Thanks to all who were able to attend the show! PS: I've taken today off to "recover," but will start planning on how to make next year's show even bigger and better tomorrow!
