1986-D LMC (I've No Clue) Error...

Please help identify whatever happened to this penny. It looks smashed in one part and perfect in the other. There is obvious MD on the "O" in ONE CENT on the reverse. I have waivered between PMD (but there is no sign of anything other than a poorly struck area with missing features) and struck-through grease, but basically I have no idea. Any opinions would be appreciated.

Looks like a Struck Through Grease to me.

Thanks Seal006, that's sort of what I thought, but I have little confidence yet in my assessment abilities. Hopefully I'll get there sooner than later and quit bothering you all with the small/easy stuff. I truly appreciate everyone's help as I learn.
