This 1922-D has a zit right in the middle of the coin. I treated it with Verdi-Care and am posting before and after images. It helped some. How I hate problem coins like these. Wondering what you would grade this and how much the corrosion lowers its value. Thanks. Do you think more exposure to VC would help?

Yes. Acetone first, then VC, and repeated.

Bad spot of verdigris, I don't think you'll get any more off. Which method did you try?

A couple of drops of VC - waited 5 minutes, then worked up and down with a toothpick. I didn't work it too hard for fear of scratching.

try pro-active. I heard its pretty good at removing zits
maybe it will also remove the 'D'. as for grading, a nice EF40 example.
