I'll start by saying I'm not generally a fan of post mint 'modifications' of coins (especially SMLs) but these have me curious.

Has anyone here actually seen these coins in person? If so, can you please speak to the quality of the hologram (which I suspect is not great) and the coin in general.

I have the State Quarters and $1,$2 US bills that have the holograms on them. I bought them about 5 years ago. The holograms are nice and accurately placed on my coins. I think it would look nice on the silver. Mine are clad.

I can post pics when I get home tonight if you want.

Thanks for that link. The holograms look better than I would have guessed.

They are nice. I think it would look better on silver though.

I have colorized 9-11 coins from them as well.

Hate to admit it but I have some coloured quarters and half dollars with sports themes that I believe were done by Merrick - GB Packers, Sidney Crosby, Martin Brodeur etc.

Never really considered them as collectible coins but they are reasonably well done.

It took me a while to find it... it´s a 2004 MPL with only a print on the leaf side of the coin:
