to sell? Went to selling area and it gives two options to upload pictures: Photobucket and members. I can seldom upload pictures in the members' area, so decided to sign into photobucket. Well, their system seems to be geared to uploading from telephones, which I don't have, so I guess I am sunk. Why is it so complicated here? For ebay I can upload pictures from my camera to my computer, and then at ebay just browse for the picture and walla there it is.

I use Photobucket exclusivly to upload my pics from my hard drive to to this forum. It is relatively easy. Click the Upload button and then the browse files button. Upload your pics, then copy and paste the IMG url to your post and your done.

Thanks. I uploaded 2 pictures to Photobucket. They are in "Your Library, Your photos." But I don't see any url to copy and paste? There is a gear like thingy in the upper right corner that when clicked gives a drop down menu of "Share, copy, edit, move, get links, delete"
What am I doing wrong?

After you left click the box that is circled it will turn yellow and display the word "copied". You then right click and paste the URL into your post, it will will initially show as the image URL but will display as the actual pic when you post it.

Thank you so much. I find that if I click on the picture then I get that drop down "Links to share this photo". And it does blnk yellow briefly. But now I find I have another problem. When I click "brouse" in the post I want to include a picture, it doesn't give me PhotoBucket as an option. So I gotta try to figure out how to access PhotoBucket in brouse.

All you have to do is copy and paste the image url into your post, forget about the icon's in the format line.

Bobby said here... Quote: Click the "Promotion Forum" link in the yellow box and it will start a new topic there in a new window. You can upload photos there and use it for a promo post if you wish at the same time. Just copy the image code to your listing. If you don't want to use the promo post when you're done, just close the window/tab. More discussion... https://goccf.com/t/149615Also... Uploading PhotosFree Image Optimizer

OK Thanks. I've uploaded two images to my trade post. Why are they so big and why are they so far to the right? https://goccf.com/t/149504

Quote: OK Thanks. I've uploaded two images to my trade post. Why are they so big and why are they so far to the right? Because Photobucket has forgotten how to do IMG links for forums correctly, which is one of the reasons I stopped using them. IMG tags don't use "URL" descriptors; what you're clicking on in Photobucket's "IMG" box is way too much information. I fixed your linked post - if you want to go back and Edit it to see what I did, you'll see all you really need from Photobucket to post images. Your best way of doing that is to select the "Direct" link instead of the "IMG" one, and use CCF's "Image" button (next to the Youtube button on the reply screen) when you post them.

Thank you so much! I've printed your instructions to use next time. Does that work in the selling area too? How are the pictures so small there?

OK I just listed a mint set under Canada. Using your instructions my pictures did not get in the primary image, but it will upload my pictures in the description. Any ideas on how to post a picture or two in the primary image? I'm trying to learn!

From the listing form... Quote: This is the primary image for your listing and will also be used as the thumbnail image on the main page and category pages. No tags are required, just put the url to the image.

In the primary image I had previously selected direct link as SsuperDdave suggested above and then pasted it in the primary image box. An URL showed there, but no thumbnail posted on the auction. "just put the url to the image." So do I type it in instead of pasting it?

You must have had something else on your clipboard because that's not what's in there. Edit it and take a look.
