Quote: Did you also pick up the 1/25 gold one as well? Not yet. No fear of a sell out on that one so I'll pick it up from the dealer at a discount. Same with the specimen set and group of seven.

Meh. I like the dreamcatcher, allegory and dino but won't really care if I don't get one. Don't think I'm going to order anything this month as I'm away for 5 weeks this summer and it'll all probably ship while I'm gone.

Think I'm passing on this release. Nothing grabbed me and anything I was leaning towards as a possibility was way over priced.

Just ordered a few coins, for my thematic collections. Got a dinosaur (for the geology/dinosaur collection) and the two Louisburg coins (I grew up in Cape Breton)... nice to see a limit of one per household on these, that means other collectors will have a fighting chance to snag a coin at issue price.

None of them are hot. They will be available for sale for a long time. What used to sell out in a couple of day will take a few weeks or not at all. A fast sell out creats a "buzz" over the coins. The longer the coins are still available. the bigger the yawning. With a few exceptions like the glass butterfly, most coins are available for list prices outside of the Mint when they are sold out. Big Dealers like Gatewest sell them at list. As do the Post office. People don't have to "fight" over them. They are easy to find.

Just went back and looked at the Niobium...it looks like another moon coin...except it looks like someone with two heads, in a space suit, experimenting on the effects of less gravity on fish, while on the moon. It doesn't do anything for me, especially at that price.

Quote: 1oz silver is 31.1g, 1oz bronze is 19.2g That must be a misprint on the Mint's side. 1oz is 1oz is 31.1g, no matter what way you measure it. Reminds me of the old riddle "What weighs more: 1 pound of bricks or 1 pound of feathers?"

Quote: What weighs more: 1 pound of bricks or 1 pound of feathers That must be a joke. Bricks are solid and have a greater weight than feathers. At least according to RCM

I have to thank the RCM for the limit of one coin on the so called "hot" coins on this release , I would have spent $500 to $800 normally , but this time I only spent just less then $300...guess I will buy some bullion with the rest, and I have never sold a single coin as of yet in the last few years of buying from them, I am thinking this one coin limit wont last but then again the mint works in mysterious ways...

Quote: 1oz is 1oz is 31.1g, no matter what way you measure it. Not exactly. A troy ounce is 31.1g. A standard ounce or an avoirdupois ounce is 28.35 grams. Copper is commonly sold as rounds of 1 AVDP ounce - 28.35 grams. I do agree though, 19.2g is probably a misprint on the coin description. BTW, the 1 oz silver allegory coin is listed as 31.39g so I guess the mint is just rounding.

The Allegory coin has nice description that appeals to the patriotic feelings. Isn't it the same like Britannia for the UK and Liberty for US? Someone can answer, please?

I guess the popular coins will be the Bronze Allegory, the dinosaur and Louisbourg....
