The flat rate box has tracking and very rarely has problems. For 2 dollars more you can have signature.

The part that angers most people about the Amex shipping is the 5.15 flat rate box is exactly what APMEX uses on small orders and they dont insure it or put a signature on it but still charge you 13 dollars to ship it.

Well I don't have to worry about ordering from APMEX, here is one reason why I wont be:

8. What are the shipping costs for Canada?
Our shipping charges to Canada are $34.95 USD plus an additional $0.15 USD per troy ounce weight surcharge. Currently, all of our shipments to Canada are shipped FedEx International Economy and must be shipped to a physical address. Additionally, customers living outside of FedEx' normal delivery zones may incur an Extended Area Surcharge.

I'll agree with that, shipping to Canada is a real pain in the butt.
