Here what they look like for those that may not have seen one.




I have removed the photo with the serial number, as I was informed some people will go to the site, and enter false information on the location. Just because they can!

i get them occasionally. I have registered a few bills. none have ever been reposted. still fun to check into once in a while.

I did a tour of the Federal Reserve in LA during the ANA Money Show a few years ago. They have a machine that checks for altered, damaged, and counterfeit notes and they check all incoming notes. The "Where's George" notes are pulled and destroyed as defaced there. Some notes will circulate for a long time before passing through a Federal Reserve but when they do they are picked out and destroyed.

interesting info, so I should let it back into the currency stream were it has more of a chance to get moved around rather than the bank.

i get wheresgeorge bills all the time from fed straps of bills.i dont think they destroy them.ive stamped about 65,000 bills.later greg

I see these all the time at work, if you ever get a one with a 'Mac's convenience store' stamp on the back, you know I've handled it. (I only stamp the $1s)
