1864-L Indian Head Cent? - Coin Community Forum

YoccosFan New Member United States 12 Posts	Posted 05/19/2013 09:12 am Hi, I need some help with the "L" variety on the 1864 Indian Head Bronze Cent. I spent over an hour researching this and I believe it is a "L" variety but I want to be sure. I believe I do see the L and also the more pointed bust. Thanks in advance. Unfortunately, due to the bust I'm almost positive it's not an "L" variety. The bust definitely looks rounded to me, comparing it to photos of a pointed this one definitely appears rounded. I'm sure you've already seen this photo but here's a side by side comparison.. You can see the pointed bust is much thinner and comes to a point, while yours definitely resembles the rounded one more so. Sorry, I'm not trying to be a downer but it is what it is...
