I have here what appears a Macrinus Silver coin, I don't know the denomination nor much else.

It is about 1.8 cm is diameter.

Any info on it's value, scarcity etc greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately my flatbed scanner doesn't deal with depth very well but should be all readable in scan:

The fact that he has a short beard is nice too as this is a likely indication that it was minted early in his reign. His later coins have longer beards.
It is a bit of a shame about the somewhat scratched surfaces from the cleaning process but it is still a nice coin.

Many thanks guys! If anyone's interested I listed this here now as Roman coins aren't really my thing, I got this together at an antiques auction with some other coins I was after.

Btw, what does AR stand for?
