You've got an islamic coin there - I see only squiggles on these. I'm sure someone can help though.

I think it is from Afghanistan, around 900-1000 AD or so.

oh neat, BM is correct, its a sashi silver horseman and bull coin, about 1000 ad (ish).

Not too expensive. Jitals were issued over a long period of time by numerous nations in central Asia. I paid $10 for one from a local dealer back in 2001. This one is a bit more worn than mine, so probably a similar price would hold for it today.
