I bought these two medallions yesterday.
They are about 34mm diameter, milled edge, made of brass.

1 side is common to both:

The other sides are different:

Are these medallions from French Mint coin sets, please ?

If so, which sets do they come from ?
If not, what series are they from ?

They appear to be standard Monnaie de Paris medallions. Various types and sets exist, mainly for the souvenir market I believe.

The Paris Mint makes all sorts of medals, from relatively cheap souvenir-pieces like this to restrikes of classic gold medals. Mintage numbers tend to be unlimited, so there's very little secondary-market demand for them.

Thanks to both of you.

I paid 10p each, so I'm happy.
