Gold miner coin. I have a large coin in gold color that has a miner paning for gold, it says gold country california around the egde. On the other side, an eagle w/breast shield, scroll in beak with motto e pluribus unum, cloud circle over its head w/13stars in it, a bunch of arrows in one claw and olive branch in other claw. There is no value mark or date on this coin.

Since there is no date or value, it is most likely a gold colored (or plated) medallion. If it is a bullion round, it should show an ounce indication.

It would be most helpful if you could post pictures of the piece.

Cheers,
Jerry

What you have described sounds like a common souvenir type plated token sold in the areas that were part of the gold rush. Sold from .50ยข to a couple of dollars. As was stated if it is a bullion round they have .999 fine or pure on one side. even my copper and tin rounds have that on them.

If you open the upload image box again there are two grey buttons toward the bottom of the box one says previous uploaded images which you can look at and find the button that will say insert in post. Hit that one and it will attach it to the post.

If you can't tell if it is gold and don't have a gram scale to weigh it. You can always take it to a jewelery store or shop that buys gold. They will tell you in a heart beat if it is or isn't
