A large scale bullion dealer SHOULD have this relativly low cost testing equipment as a matter of course.
Same with XRF.
Go to a reputable dealer and you should never have to worry.
Not usually justified for a collector / accumulator / investor to have these types of testing apparatii, but it does make this type of person harder to buy and sell to each other, and that is a pity.
Usual rules of verification, trust, gauarantee and dealing should apply.
