Hello all,
long time since last post.

I am wondering pretty much about this kind of "coin".
It is so clean and shinny, is it even a coin or some kind of medal or just a strange fake .

Looks like a tourist copy of a silver coin of Larissa

It's is based on the design of a famous Greek coin, but IMO this is a cast copy. The detail looks too crude to be original.

Thanks, it still surprises me to make something so shinny if someone wants to copy an old coin, more for tourist seeing.
I am going through the Calgarycoin website to learn how to recognise fakes (which I have quite a bunch). But it seems I'll need your help for a long time... So please be patient.

www.forumancientcoins.com has a nice board which tracks fakes. Quite useful.
