I'm new to this so I have no idea what the measurements are. I just got this today and was interested by it since it was in a bag with some old Francs and some Hitler era coins. Any ideas please let me know.

This might be a coin from zanzibar, search for it online to be sure.

From the style alone my guess would be French, and a token not a coin. Googling Consommer Tokens:

will bring up a whole lot of tokens with similar styles.
