1897-S Barber Dime, PMD Or Error? - Coin Community Forum

Hm. on second thought, seeing as you have a partially clipped planchet - ... can you tell if that's an error or PMD? Gonna be hard to tell with that wear! Good question. I'm not helping much. That crack around the 9 looks like some sort of planchet error, I just don't know much about them to tell. Of course PMD will detract from the value of a coin where planchet errors don't even if they don't command a premium. Report this Post to the Staff
