Just a quick question,If I intend on collecting for a while it would be in my interest to save mint condition coins I find in circulation of recent years or generally speaking do we just roll them back up and send them to the bank? would it be better to buy uncirculated rolls on a yearly basis?

Many collectors get started by pulling coins from circulation. I'd do that before buying unc rolls. Maybe you can find some albums for modern cents, nickels, dimes, etc and start filling holes or just save the best ones you can find by date and mintmark. Its not unusual to find 20, 30, and 40 year old coins in circulation. That's a lot of dates and mintmarks across available denominations!

A lot depends on your age. If your young enough, almost anything you collect today will someday be worth something. Way, way back when I was a kid, almsot all coins were just coins. Some were worth a little but so few collectors, none really worth much. Same with you if your young. Someday many coins minted today will or might be worth a lot or nothing at all. For all anyone knows, coins may soon be a thing of the past so any at all would be worth saving.

I started by collecting from circulation, which included pulling coins as they were released every year. It may not seem like much now, but after almost thirty-five years I look back at it with pride.

to the CCF, Carson...
I agree with others, I think collecting out of circulation is the BEST way to start and is what I did when I was young. I didn't have a coin store near and this way I could pick and choose what I wanted on my own. Good luck and keep us posted
