@RoyalSilver @jbsquah
Colonial Acres is part of the mint's "Masters" Club. Thus they receive coin alerts days or weeks before the coin is available for sale. So to stay ahead of the competition they list the coins on their website and get "pre-orders" the coins themselves aren't delivered to customers until the Colonial Acres receives them from the Mint and then they are re-shipped.

@silverwolf
Well they won't be listed as pre-order's but you won't receive it for a whole. And ad far as pictures go the pictures would be provided by the mint in their masters club newsletter.

I must be blonde today, I don't get it, I'm in the Masters Club and haven't received no such notice in an MC newsletter...

Whatever I said was my best guess and thr most logical response. It may not be correct. Don't hold me to my words.

I suspect major dealers get preference over even Masters Club members. Wouldn't the more pre-orders the Mint gets from dealers mean the faster the coin itself gets put into production?

In the past, availability of the Circulation Packs of the War of 1812 coins coincided with the RCM's launch events for each coin. They announced two events for the Laura Secord coin on their web site today, so the the Circ Packs should be available very soon. Event #1Where: Redpath Waterfront Festival Toronto 399 Queen's Quay West Toronto, Ontario When: Friday, June 21 to Sunday, June 23, 2013 9:30am â€" 6pm Event #2Where: First Canadian Place 100 King Street West Toronto, Ontario When: Monday, June 24, 2013 9:00am â€" 5:30pm

Dealers get the info on the coins weeks in advance sometimes months before Master club members , they also receive coins before MCs even get to make an order in some cases, maybe in most cases not 100% sure on the most cases part.
Makes the Masters club feel not quite as special now doesn't it .

Would have been kind of cool if they distributed it through Laura Secord shops. Guess there aren't as many of them as Tim Hortons though. It was Timmie's for one of the early coloured poppy quarters wasn't it?
