i found this in a 1/8 kilo of uncleaned coins I bought - I am still working on cleaning it. I have been collecting for a little over six months, and have some success with roman imperials, but have no idea on this Greek, wondering if anyone on the forum recognizes it - its quite an elaborate helmet!!

Interesting looking coin, hopefully some our Greeks experts will be able to help you ID it.

Obverse looks like Athena with the Corinthian helmet. I have no idea on the reverse though.

A pomegranate? Really? No wonder it didn't make sense to me.

Yes a Pomegranate...I have noticed that if there is a large blob on a coin that is rather square and the coin is Greek its probably a pomegranate if its Roman its probably a temple of some sort. In this case it is definitely a pomegranate.
This coin is the little brother of my coin...check out the vid, its one of my favorite coins!
