I am sure most have heard of this but it came to mind this morning.I think it was back in the 50s.My dad asked me do you know why this nickel is only worth 4 cents?

Is it a joke of some kind? I've never heard it but now you've got my mind racing at what the joke could be(assuming it is a joke of some type). googling "why is a Buffalo nickel only worth 4 cents?" didn't get me anywhere.

It sounds like a variation on the "what's the difference between an Indian Head penny and Buffalo nickel?" and the answer is four cents.

If you look where the buffalos butt is and turn the coin over it is aligned with the indians nose.He got the 1st scent.
