Recently I was surprised to discover that Scotiabank (it's Canadian) has a bullion service. They even make their own bars (in all four metals) and rounds (gold only, but they offer metric sizes!) that can be ordered through any branch, along with selling Maple Leaves.

Well, I thought it was interesting that a local bank would produce its own bullion. I figured this was the sort of thing that only happened in Switzerland...

I have some old scotia 1oz silver bars my dad gave me. Not sure how old but he said he bought them for 5 bucks each...

Ya you can by it online from Scotiabanks Estore as well during working hours but there is a bit of paper work and some extra charges , plus you would have a bank knowing how much PMs you own if you were to buy it all from them, which is not something I would want, maybe ok with a few things from them but not all my stash through them. Plus they seem to want a bunch of personal info. ie "Know Your Client" requirements...
