My Mother-in-law came to visit and brought a TON of stuff for us to go through since she's cleaning out her house. Besides her entire Barbra Streisand collection she brought what was left of her coin collection.

The good stuff was stolen in a break-in years ago but she still had 8 rolls of wheat pennies, 2 mostly filled penny books, 2 mercs, a silver dollar and 3 Buffalo nickels.

I did find these two error coins while I was searching the loot. I've never really looked for error coins or came across blatant errors before so not sure what I'm looking at here.

That's an uncirculated 2008 dime and a 1987 penny

The dime looks like some sort of strike-through. (metal?) the cent is about 35% off-center. Keepers, for sure.

Thanks for the info! I'll be sure to put them aside. Those are my first and only error coins so I feel kind of giddy inside.

The cent is a keeper for sure. I don't know about the dime's value.

Sorry to hear that she lost coins in a break-in, but it was nice of her to share what she had left.
