Hi everyone!

I'm new to this Forum
I would very much appreciate it if someone could help me identify this coin. I know it's Polish 3 grosz from the time of Sigismund the 3rd, but that's all I know about it. I also know there are lots of sub-types of this coin, so I'd like to know the city and the year it was minted. I have checked every catalog I have, but I haven't found this particular type.

Thanks!

Have you poured over these for a match?

Also, may be in completed auctions.

Yep, as I said I checked virtually everywhere (plus, it's impossible to recognize the exact type of the coin just by going through endless sells on ebay.

Shalom and welcome.
You seem to have standard 3 gros.
If you check here: http://www.medievalcoinage.com/gallery/poland.htm there are 2 images of Sigismund the 3rd, 3 gros coins. It seems that your variety is the left, Marienburg mint. 2 stars, a ring and a triangle around 2 digits of date.
Do I see correctly and its 1590?

Thanks for the reply and the welcoming!

as for the link, it does not provide enough information (year, mint), I know there are tens of different types of this coin.
I hope I don't nag too much.

Ow, now I see it is 2 stars, a ring and a triangle, and 2 numbers.I think it is 1590. thank you very much!

Dear AVE CAESAR, that is why I added my very humble opinion.
You have a 1590 3 Gros, From Marienburg mint.
It might be easier for you to see looking at the original coin if what I see in the photo is correct and the bottom is:
* O 90 D *
star ring 90 triangle star.

This is the best Polish coin catalog.
www.fortresskatalog.com
As long as you can make out the date you will be able to find it.
Zygmunt III had about 1000 different varieties of 3 grosz coins.
