I think it is a REAL shame that I can no longer run low start auctions and MUST REQUIRE instant pay on buy it now style listings so as to ELIMINATE all the current deadbeat bidders circulating ebay....

I recently had this new deadbeat win like 6 or 7 high cost items over a couple of weeks under different names, all with same start such as Gobot86 or Prime8192 or Saint 9182 etc. and always same bs format emails like DELTA or ALPHA followed by number sequences and hotmail dot com....

HOW RIDICULOUS is it that ebay has NOT created bid blocker on sub 10 feedback positive bidders which would eliminate many of these losers with 1 to 5 feedbacks, all NEGS listed only way they can under positive feedback?

ANY IDIOT can simply create 8 accounts under different names and continue to cost me and others much time and potential bids, red tape bs, and why its like get a life I swear....

I got this guys address (he mistakenly paid for one item out of the rest negs in positive section, so that MUST be his address as other accounts has other BS made up names and addresses I have estimated) and I list it under DEADBEAT in feedbacks, as I can only hope someone shuts this idiot down via legally sue or prosecute or whatever is within means of law, any ideas?

I was forced to END all auctions and send to BUY IT NOWS which DEMAND instant pay which nips it in bud but I do well on running auctions priced right beyond my cost....

How crazy is it I must adjust bus to stop this nonsense?

I should also note this guy bids on transformers not coins, but never the less there are deadbeat coin buyers plenty to crazy enough as I had guy buy gold coin at 1k a week back and NEVER pay or email return and had to open case to get fees back....

Alas less business BUT instant pay is the way to go set at my price, and if it sells fine I get paid, and if not I still have a great item win/win.....

Either you have a personal fan (which is truly nasty for you) or ebay sellers aren't doing their job. 3 non-paying bidder strikes gets the account banned for life, and two is enough to filter them out of any auction. You can also filter out any bidder with a net negative feedback score. Yeah, it's extra work but it has to be done.

These can all be set when making a listing. I find it strange that they're targeting you. Dealer trying to eliminate competition? Customers hoping seller accidentally ships? Or just bad luck?

Well I figured out his real address an Post it in his positive calling him a deadbeat for one, lol....

And see you all must understand it is not as EASY as blocking bidder or cancelling bid....

This fool has multi accounts. He actually changed 5 accounts in last 5 minutes of auction everytime I cancelled him out and I could not stop him from winning all three items....

He pushed 3 an 4 hundred dollar items up to 800 bucks lol....

Here is six examples below all different names and accounts....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...ht_758wt_758

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...ht_737wt_758

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...ht_737wt_758

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...ht_640wt_758

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...ht_783wt_758

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...t_1110wt_758

I have pin pointed this guys real address I am 95% sure as he has one account he has a positive where he bought something and must have paid via that means good chance that is his real address.....

I wanna sue this guy if possible and prosecute to fullest exent of law which probably aint much, but if I could atleast get a cop to scare him, maybe he would think better of his fraudulant actions....

As sympathetic as I am to your plight, I have to ask, "What law has he broken?" This looks to me like the work of a competing seller, if they're all the same person.

At least three of the linked auctions were won by bidders you can automatically block with selling rules.

Good luck trying to obtain information for a lawsuit as ebay could care less about their sellers..

For any ccf member that doesn't know why I placed myself on a self-imposed ebay & paypal ban since early April 2006, it's simple, ebay does not care (choosing my words carefully so the "bad word" filter doesn't sound).

I first registered with ebay on June 21,1997, back when it was an enjoyable place to do business on.

You could check ALL the new daily coin listings in less than a half hour, also track what other bidders were bidding on, then snipe them if you wanted to.

This was the timeline where my numismatic interests changed from (Colonial, Broken Bank and Obsolete) Currency to USA Errors. I had a few hundred notes, including a rare signed and issued Canal Bank, New Orleans Ten Dollar note in tattered condition.

I sold everything in one lot and started buying and selling error coins. In 2005 I had enough of a inventory to open a coin store on ebay, along with my auction listings.

Everything worked out fine till I tried to sign in on ebay around the second week of April 2006 and my password had been rejected... I checked my store listings as a potential bidder instead of the owner and found numerous new listings for all sorts of auto racing memorabilia and tickets to Sports Shows.

It had taken my daughter about a half hour to reach them on the telephone, then I explained to their rep about my account being taken over and I couldn't sign in. They then froze my ebay account while investigating, and since I linked my paypal account to my ebay store (and used the same password for both accounts) I tried to sign in to paypal and was also rejected. My timeline on this is still in a fog, but I was able to contact Paypal via telephone about this, and believe it or not, I was advised that "Mr. Peterson, I'm showing that your in the middle of a transaction now". [now my brain hurts] I mentioned how the ___ can I be in the middle of a transaction when I'm talking to you on the telephone? The stopped the transaction and also froze my paypal account.

It turned out that my credit card and Personal Bank Account had also been hacked into, and had taken me over a month to straighten out as I had to close and open new accounts.

I telephoned both ebay and Paypal to request information on the person/persons responsible so I could pursue legal action against them, that's when the hammer fell as they mentioned;

IT'S AGAINST THE LAW FOR THEM TO GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION DUE TO THE PRIVACY LAWS.
(sorry for the caps, but it did get my attention)

Since this happened I refuse to place my credit card and bank information on any internet site, and should I want anything on ebay, I contact the seller and explain what happened and I would only bid if they accepted a postal money order (some do).

end or rant

@ Silverhawk74

I just read the ebay positive/negative feedbacks you posted, and just have to ask;

#1) What if they are NOT the same person, what could follow?

#2) As mentioned above, I've not sold on ebay since April 2006, when did ebay change their policy where a seller in good standing not be allowed to post negative feedback ?

Wow Brokencoin I thought I had a bad experience, that is the total hacker theft of identity we all fear, amazing that happened and they did so little about it, hate that happened to you....

I figured the sue thing was a long shot, but never hurts to consider options as he did cost me much time and potential sells....

It could just be a made up name as well, probably is even though I googled it and it matched a recent house buy in that area all numbers back in 2008. So this guy exists, whether it really is the crook, impossible to say but it was his first account and the seller of his one positive confirmed shipping address to me as I emailed them....

"I don't take bidders with less than 10 feedback it was in settings somewhere"

Thanks as well, that is the info I needed, so I can use use auctions eliminating 10 or less. However this guy has one bogus accounts with 11 NEGATIVES left in positive section so it would slip through cracks lol.....

That is problem with eBayers being forced to leave NEGATIVES in positive section as you cant leave a buyer a true NEG anyhow. I get the warning factor I have did it but once they hit 5 let it go, nothing else can be done at that point.....

I don't care I am over running auctions....

I set my profit in price BUY it now and if they buy fine, if not I got great item still. Used this technique for last three days and had like 15 sales that way so heck with the other way too much red tape with cases with other no paying deadbeats and CONSTANTLY shipping packs....
