I just made my first purchase off ebay and I hopefully got this coin for a fair price. I have the feeling I overpaid just a little bit. Any opinions?

Hello,

Are those scratches in the field in front of Liberty's eyes on the PCGS plastic holder or on the coin itself?

I questioned the scratches at first as well, but from the zoomed photos provided by the seller, it looked like the case was scratched.

I would say that it doesn't really matter if you "technically" overpaid a little bit as long as you like and appreciate the coin. That's all that matters. Just the humble opinion of a collector at heart.

Average retail price is about $72 for this coin. Wholesale is $45-$50.

The price you paid is reasonable

Price was not that bad, since shipping was included in the price.

Thanks for the replies; That puts me a little more at ease. This will be my first slabbed Morgan, so I'm eagerly awaiting its arrival tomorrow.
