I just went on The Royal Mint's website to look at the new commemorative silver sovereign, and I saw that they also changed the silver Britannia design. I'm not horribly impressed, the coin looks kind of average to me, britannia looks kind of angry that she was put on such an ugly coin, and that owl looks like it was straight from the oldham athletic crest. I love the silver Britannias so this coin is a bit of a disappointment. Anywho, I just can't believe that The Royal Mint would start a new coin series (and continue an old one) with such a boring coin.
