Any Ideas on this small token/medallion. It is French we received it from my Wife's great grandfather who served in the army in WW1. It is made of a very thin aluminum.This is one of many items that came in a box and I'll be posting them on the forum as I get a chance.

I'm glad to see this as I had one for many years and could never tell if it was as made, or if it was the front half of something.

Well we will hopefully find our answers on this forum, I have posted more photos of others I got in the one box all from the same period I'm assuming.
