After reading tons of stuff around here, I have noticed that a CAC sticker on a graded coin is always better. What does a coin need to be to get a CAC sticker (what are the specifications)? Can you only get a CAC on PCGS coins? They seem to always be on PCGS.
Thanks for all your help, you guys are great.

Cac only does PCGS and NGC coins and only older coins for the most part. Basically theyll sticker the premium coins for their grades and overall do look better than their non stickered peers. http://www.caccoin.com/

I don't think that it is coincidental that the CAC stickers are shaped like an "eye", as in "eye appeal"!

I do not give them any additional value since I am going to crack the slab anyway.

My Eisenhower dollar Dansco has been complete for twenty years now, so there is no need to crack one. For the record, one of my long term goals is to build a high-end collection of Eisenhower dollars. I imagine by the time I get to that stage, buying and keeping them slabbed would be unavoidable. Now, as for my other Dansco albums, I am fairly certain there are more than a few key date holes that will only be filled by cracking a slab. It will be done. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks they're a marketing scheme and a waste of money; at least that's my take on the negative comments.
Take a perfectly nice coin that we know what the grade basically is, pay someone to incase it and put their opinion of the grade on it, then pay someone else to say "yeah this coin is nice for the grade.
I can't believe people go along with this scheme, really.
I understand people's need for verification and other's professional opinion but sometimes I think they have a bunch of fools as customers. I also see the industry and business it has created for the lovers of slabs and stickers with associated profits available by getting a good grade or buying a raw coin and getting a better grade than sold for etc., but basically the whole thing leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I PERSONALLY give it no credit.
I highlight personally because I mean no disrespect to the slab community, lot's of people love them and lot's of people profit from them. I believe in the American way of capitalism and actually salute the profiteers. I'm just not on board and have my opinion, if a coin is incased, and priced higher than raw, I just move along. And the sticker thing I don't get at all!

It's a great little marketing and opinion gimmick to tell you something you should already know. This coin is really good for the grade assigned. It's a lazy man way to look at a coin.
