Hi! I wanted to submit coins to CAC, but I understand they no longer take collector submissions. In addition, I cannot find a dealer close to me in their directory. I am, however, going to the show in Chicago 10 days from now. Is there anyway that there are dealers that submit for just about cost?

Call them up and theyll put you on a waiting list to become a member. One day youll randomly get the acceptance package in the mail. For whatever reason though theyre closed from the 8th through the 19th this month.

Quote: Any idea how long that takes? Couple weeks couple months, its really at their discretion. Also depends on how fast you get the forum back to them. Mine was quicker than I expected but I dont remember exactly how long. Quote: Probably because they'll all be at the Chicago show. They're dealers, after all. I completely forgot about the show. I bet youre right.

Any way you think I could persuade them to get a license/permit to submit at the show?

Coinkid, Just remember that a CAC approved coin is only an opinion., and, if you are wanting a CAC bean it doesn't necessarily give the coin higher value unless of course the coin is a rarer variety or is under graded in your opinion. Good luck!

CAC shuts down for vacation for one week in the middle of August every year. It is the only week of the year that they have a scheduled shutdown.
Coinkid: If you interested in submitting through me, I can send you a form and you can mail the coins to CAC directly. They would returned to me and you'd need to pay my return shipping to you. If interested just drop me a PM. I would advise against submitting any coin valued under $200 since it's really not cost effective on lower value coins.
CAC is also offering 1 free submission of up to 10 coins for LSCC members. You could join LSCC and get immediate submission privileges to CAC and 10 coins reviewed by CAC at no cost to you other than shipping. I can fill you in if interested.

Quote: BH does that LSCC member deal apply for existing CAC members too? Yes it does. If you join LSCC, you will be allowed (one) 10 coin submission to CAC at no charge except return shipping. The coins must arrive at CAC before 12/31/2013. I think I have an e-mail I can forward you if you want to PM me your address.

BH1964, I would be interested in that info. If you could send it to me that would be great.
