Hey everyone

I just discovered these holders and am thinking of buying some to put my most expensive coins in but I am a bit concerned mostly because the coins diameter is 23.5mm while the holders only have them for 24mm and also do the coins slide in the holder and get damaged by this?

Thanks in advance everyone

I know that Air-Tite makes capsules with a foam ring insert, to accommodate different sizes of coins.

Yeah just wanted to use a wood presentation box as well which fits quadrums and to be honest they look quite good I am just worried if the coin would slide around and be damaged from said sliding

From experience, I can say that if the coin size does not match the holder size, there is a very high likelihood that the coin will move in the holder. The movement may be small, but it is movement nonetheless. The potential for damage is relatively small, but it does exist.

I would say that the extent of potential damage depends on the condition of the coins being placed in the holders. Circulated coins are not likely to show much in the way of damage, but high-end mint state or proof coins are more prone to exposing even the smallest of surface disturbances due to movement in the holder.

I put my non-slabbed coins/medals in Air-Tite holders with the foam rings to hold the coins/medals securely. These holders can be placed in coin boxes as well.
