So I found this guy down in a very very old piece of land
Has a SLIGHT magnetic attraction, not enough to lift the coin.
Rang 40 on a metal detector, 38 to solid 40.
Looks as if its two sides stamped together

Commercial fantasy of an ancient coin. Not meant to deceive.

It's not very old - that pattern of radiate stripes is late 19th, early 20th century. I knew we'd seen a similar piece on the forum a long time ago, and I've only just found the thread with it: here. It's not quite the same, but it's got a similar thing going on with the helmeted head - only naming him "Hector", the hero from the Trojan Wars. I'm not sure if your helmeted fellow is supposed to be Hector too, but the guy on the other side of yours, with the big club behind him, is perhaps supposed to be Hercules, the mythical Greek demi-god.

The other piece is holed, for wearing as a piece of jewellery. Though it's hard to be sure, I'm seeing signs that yours may have had a loop attached at the top, which has since been broken off - which may explain how it was lost. If it's "just a piece of jewellery", then you're not going to find much if any information about it in the catalogues.

There is no TAB placement. Thats the rim where the two different cut sides were stamped together.
Its not a piece of jewelry thats for sure lol ill send some pics of the detailed edges.
