I have a pot full of Constantine and his family, I get a headache just thinking about them.

Are there any tips or tricks to identify which are which or is it a case of trying to match from the portraits?

IMO it's fairly easy to ID them by portrait.

They all have differing legends and styles. FL IVL and NOB C only come up after Constantine II, qand the busts for Constantius and Constantine and very different to Constantius II and Constantine II. Often times, you can ID them by bust, but if you put the legend into google with the parts you'll get a good answer out. Eventually, you'll just know that F* *VL ***STAN**NVS NOB * is Constantine II. (by the way, the FL IVL and stuff is really variable, you might not find it on Constantine II)

Constantius I: CONSTANTIVS
Constantine I: CONSTANTINVS
Constantine II: (FL IVL) CONSTANTINVS (NOB C) (thinner bust)
Constantius II: (FL IVL) CONSTANTIVS (NOB C) (thinner bust)
Constantius Gallus: CONSTANTIVS (luscious locks of hair, very distinctive).
Constantine III: You'll probably never see one and I certainly never have

With Constantine II, coins of him as Augustus can be tricky as he can get mixed with his dad. His coins will usually not include the MAX that goes before AVG that coins of his dad has, so with II it would just be CONSTANTINVS AVG.
