The Raleigh Money Expo (tm) is now just about two weeks away!

Friday - Saturday - Sunday // July 18-20, 2014
Doors open at 10:00am each day

Have a look at our TV commercial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4_2jKhkD20

Here's our final schedule of educational talks on Friday and Saturday:

Friday

1:00pm The Bechtler House Museum and the North Carolina Gold Trail

2:00pm The Effect of North Carolina's Gold Mining on the Economy and Politics of the State

3:00pm Collecting American Historical Medals

Saturday

11:00am Union and Confederate Battle Flags

1:00pm The Civil War Sesquicentennial in North Carolina

2:00pm An Introduction to Civil War Emergency Money

3:00pm North Carolina Civil War Currency Issues

Our "Kid's Carnival" is going to have a great selection of free coins and stamps for young collectors. Bring the family!

In keeping with our Civil War 150th anniversary theme, we've also added the NC 26th Regiment to our roster for the show. They'll be on hand with a display of Civil War era items and talking about what it's like to be a Civil War re-enactor.

If you're coming, please bring a non-perishable food item with you. For every item you donate, you will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a great prize.

Hope to see CCF well represented at the show!

The show is now "in the books" and by just about all measures was a terrific success.

We had public attendance of 1,975 over the three days - more than 1,000 on Saturday alone. (The attendance figure DOES NOT include RCC club members or any of the dealers.) The bourse had a nice buzz throughout much of the weekend which made for very happy dealers!

If you didn't make it to the show this year, I hope you get a chance to attend in 2015!

Sorry I missed it. It sounds like a good one to have attended and would have nice to meet at least two CCF members.

It was one my calendar, but still sneaked up on me. I had two family events this weekend and I was not able to take Friday off (which was actually my plan A).

As a Cubs fan, I can say this and honestly believe it... there is always next year.
