I am usually against doing anything to coins unless it is needed or warranted. Do you think I should soak this coin to get the crud off the obverse to see if the "T" in "LIBERTY" is clear? While I am posting, what do you think the value of this coin is? I am getting different values when I check a variety of sources. I guess you select the lowest value when that in the case? I think it is G06 but has a couple small scratches on the reverse.

There is nothing on this coin that acetone would remove. The coin looks good as is.

Yes, I am going to leave this one. Nothing wrong with a little crud and some want to see it.

Acetone is not going to hurt the coin. That "crud" could be grease and could come off. Give it a shot.

Zero risk and could possibly help. No reason not to.
