On the reverse the bottom line could read AAAB. Seem to be able to see an eye on the obv, could it be barbarian? Report this Post to the Staff

Mintmark ALEB or something similar (maybe ALEZ), denomination I+B, one of the peculiarly Egyptian denominations, the dodecanummium (12 nummi). Not entirely unlike this Wildwinds example of Justinian I. I can't ID the emperor; the type was issued from Justinian through to Heraclius, I believe.
