I think this coin looks cool but I never bought any coins from different counties. So what's the value on this?

*added, the coin I mean is this one on eBay*

A lot of these coins were produced and were circulated for a VERY short period of time. It's very easy to find UNC examples for less than 5 dollars. Being an aluminum coin, it is subject to oxidation more than other metals. So it can be harder to find a perfect coin given it's material of construction. The coin you linked is a very nice example (PCGS recognized that too with a 66), and worth more than the 3-5 dollars you would pay for a normal UNC-BU coin. Certainly, if you only collect slabbed coins then 20 dollars is going to be cheaper than the grading process. But given your unfamiliarity with the coinage, I can imagine you'd be happy with one of the many nice, raw, uncirculated coins that are available for less than 5 dollars.

They also made 500 mark coins the same year that are larger and have an identical design that are also very affordable if you are still shopping around.

JJ has said it right. I collect World coins, and these are most commonly found in AU. They are easily obtained from dealer's hunk boxes for a couple of dollars or so, in this grade.
