I woke up this morning and seem to have lost my mind.
Now I have to justify this somehow ......
If the wife ever finds out she will be wearing the missing ..... pieces

Elagabalus. AD 218-222. Æ Sestertius 29mm, 24.34 grams
Rome mint. Struck AD 221-222.
Obv. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, wearing "horn"
Rv. Elagabalus standing left, holding club and patera over lighted altar to left; bull's head to left of altar.
RIC IV 350; Thirion 262; Banti 9 var. (star in field).

Meanwhile I will just have to enjoy the little time I have left !

I am glad to hear that my fellow 'addicts' have applauded my relapse
into the depths of the Netherworld !
I am a devout cheapskate but when I happened to check my watch list this morning
(which I often neglect to do)
There it was ....... Marked down . "Limited Time Offer !" "Act Now !" Supplies Are Limited !
Two hours of agony followed
Sweaty Palms
Stomach Cramps
Breathless
Racing Mind

How to make it work ?

Full blown withdrawal .......
(Having been a licensed Hack for 15 years I have seen too many worse off than this)
Finally I just couldn't take it anymore and I lunged for the laptop
And now the anxious wait for the Postman

Oh the humanity !

BTW TIF ...... I messaged you last week hoping you would make it go away ! It even suddenly had the 33% off 'sale'.
Then suddenly the listing was removed. "Item no longer available". I felt a bit better after a day.
Tuesday I get the email ...... Item you were watching has been 'relisted'
By Wednesday again with the 33% off sale ......
No one to save me from myself .....
Alone with my 'daemons'

Sounds like fate to me. To deny yourself the purchase would have angered the gods

When Fortune shines on you, it is wrong to turn your back, for someday you may incur her wrath, and find her foot about your back.

I am a little unclear about what is going on around the 'proboscis'. I am hoping the seller dabbed a little 'spit' to try and get some detail (didn't work I am hoping). Either way the portrait seems to have some nice things going for it.
