I recently bought a Mongolia 1980 proof 25 Tugrik coin from my local coin shop. On the back of the 2x2, the previous owner has written "km39.2" . When I looked that up in the Krause, it had a description noting a counter stamp at the 5 o'clock position. It has a significantly higher price than the normal coin, almost double. Does anyone have a picture of the km39.2? I am not seeing any counterstamp in the one I have but then again j am not sure what I am looking for. In any case, I think I got a decent deal.

I can't find any pics of one online; the only pics labelled as such appear to be mis-identified. Post a pic of yours and we'll see if it's the same as all the pics of KM 39.1.

It looks to me as if it is the same as the KM39.1. I see no differences. I cannot find a KM39.2 either. Pictures to follow soon.

I'm not seeing anything different or unusual at or near 5 o'clock there to make me suspect it's a 39.2. I'd assume the previous owner has mis-identified it.

Same as I thought. I would still like to see the one with a countermark to compare though.
