Has anyone found a 1916-S Walking Liberty half dollar in junk silver? I know it's a silly question, but I have. There in PO-1 condition and are lost in my never-ending flip collection, so I'll try to find them, but it will be hard.

The chances of find a '16s with junk silver would have always been very low, simply because they are scarcer.

You can be lucky, however.
I got a VF '23s SLQ from a junk box. Neither the dealer or myself was aware that it may be scarce.
In this case the find was in Sydney, and neither the dealer or myself are U.S. specialists. I bought the coin for a dollar. Found out many months later that it was worth $hundreds.

These days I have about 200 U.S. coins with some gold, although I am still not a U.S. specialist, it did have the permanent effect of increasing my interest in this area of numismatics. I am normally into ancients.
