I've learned about 2006 penny from someone's post:

"Five varieties of 2006 penny:
1) No P, no mint mark, Non-Magnetic: This is the most common one. About 1 billion in circulation

2) Mint Mark, Non-Magnetic: This is less common. 138 million in circulation

3) Mint Mark, Magnetic: This is less common. Total minted included in 138 million above.

4) P, Magnetic: This one is rare. Only 233,000 in circulation. I find one in every 5000 pennies I search.

5) No P, no mint mark, Magnetic: This is one is the holy grail. I am guessing that only a few hundred or few thousands exist."

That's a very good information and I appreciate it. However after the searching through some penny rolls, I got some question.
I searched about 50 penny roll (I got them before penny was withdrawn), and found many type 1 and some type 3, but only found 1 type 2. So my question is, is there any known ratio between type 2 and type 3? If the type 2 is common, why I only found 1 type 2?

wandering, I wouldn't worry about the ratio that you have after only 50 rolls. Type 1 will almost always win top spot in the pie chart. The ratio of the other varieties will vary from each search depending on the sample size, location, and whether or not your rolls have already been searched by someone else and then taken back. Try going through another 1000 rolls like all of us addicted to the roll searching and then your ratio might reflect the mintage ratio more accurately. And keep finding those 2006 P's

Ningcumpoop, thank your answer. I'd like to search more rolls, but it's too late. I cannot get any penny roll from bank any more.
