Hi all, this might be common knowledge to most here on the forum, but I didn't know about it until recently and I thought it worthwhile posting the info for others.

It seems every year the RBA takes orders for first and last prefix notes, but only for a certain period each year. This year they started selling on 15 July and orders close very soon on 23 August. Orders have to be placed via the order form.

The web link for this info and order form is http://banknotes.rba.gov.au/collecting.html

I can't believe the cost of freight though - no choice but to have them courier delivered at a cost of $17.05

Yes it is expensive to have them couriered. It actually works out to be about the same price to get a set through a dealer due to the cheaper postage costs.
I've already got mine
