pishpash Pillar of the Community United Kingdom 3626 Posts	Posted 08/23/2013 07:52 am I bought a lot of uncleaned (thank you Ben) which showed a silver fragment amongst the bronze. This morning they arrived and within a plastic envelope there are three fragments of silver. Can you id please? Also, the coin is of no value, I had considered taking it to a local jeweller to have the fragments spot soldered. Not to repair the coin, but to keep the fragments together. What would you suggest? No pics yet, Very dirty, having a few soaks and shakes in some fairy platinum, it really shifts the initial dirt, before rinsing and going into dW. Found a couple that are not roman. In the few times I have had such a 'type' I used a lupe, a sewing needle and a tiny drop of super glue. If you are careful you might get it to look reasonably well.
