Hi,
Came across this coin in a collection I just bought, having trouble with this one. I think it could be an Islamic coin/token, weighs 11.6 Grams 2.5 cm. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Rick

Indian temple token. Same weight as the rupee.

It's an Indian "temple token". The script-side is loosely based on the kalima-and-four-caliphs obverses of Mughal silver rupees. The mosque is only found on tokens such as these.

The symbol on the "door" - it's actually carved onto a huge gateway, the "door" is the tiny arch underneath - is the word "Allah".

Thanks, I'll have to look into it a bit more, it's good to come across something different.
