Can anyone help me assign a value to an MS64 1872-H 7/7 twenty-five cents? The coin is graded by PCGS. Trends only goes to MS63 and Charlton does not list anything beyond AU50. I appreciate any help.

Because we can't see the coin and it's graded by PCGS as an ms64, personally, I would value it as an ICCS ms63 at the trends price of $2750.00.

Going rate would be 50% to 70% of $2750.00

Probably not what you wanted to hear.

Thanks! That's kind of what I expected in the present market so this one will stay put in the safe deposit box. Sorry for the lack of photos. This coin is a real beauty and I feel that it would go 64 if graded by ICCS, but hey, that is only my opinion. I am trying to acquire a 1921 five cent silver so some of my pieces have to go :(

I recently purchased this I.C.C.S., 1872H, 7/7 quarter, MS-63 for $1,700.00. That's about the appr. going rate for this piece.

One question that remains in my mind is, what is the trends value in MS64? Anyone know how to extrapolate that from a guide which ends at MS63?

On the low side, add 50% to the ms63 price.

High side, add 100% of the price.

That's an issue that's always bothered me about C.C.N. Trend pricing. With soo many MS-64/MS-65/MS-66 being graded by T.P.G.'s, why are these categories not included in trend pricing?
If the argument is there's no space at the end of the column, then eliminate the G-4/VG-8 categories. It's far easier to guestimate the price of a G-4 coin vs an MS-6 coin! (LOL, maybe I'll open up a new tread for this discussion)
